Hello all,

I bought this baby fiddle leaf from Walmart a few weeks back and just have a question about the leaves. The bottom ones feel dry and papery and have this white hue to them, so I was just wondering if anyone has any advice on what could be wrong? When I bought it, the entire pot was completely saturated and just sitting in water so I'm maybe wondering if it could be and over watering issue while it was at the store?

Welcome! I don't see any lower leaf discoloration so I am not sure the dryness of the lower leaves is a problem.

Make sure the pot is not sitting in water if it is double potted. If it is potted directly in the striped planter, make sure water has not collected in the bottom of it.

Once excess water is removed from the bottom of the planter, it should be fine as long as it is avoided in the future. In general, it should be watered when the top surface of the soil feels dry to the touch while the rest of the soil remains damp.

Keep your FLF close to and in front of a sunny window.
