My Polly has not been watered since I got her 8 days ago, the moister meter reads 4. She is pushing out 2 new leaves and I noticed at the base of the mama stem is full of water is this normal? When you lightly squeeze it seeps out l. No weeping from the tips of the leaves but I'm scared it may rot? Any tips? She stays indoors in in zone 5b.

Moisture meters are often inaccurate because they vary with the potting mix used. How dry does the soil feel to your touch?

Please post a photo that shows the entire plant and its pot.
