I have trumpet vine and I needed one vine to cover wall. I went to Lowe's and they gave me Cape Honeysuckle. My question is Cape Honeysuckle poisonous to dogs? Not sure if I should plant it or return it. I have an 85 pound Labrador Retriever that I am afraid something will happen if I plant Cape Honeysuckle.

Welcome! to the forum!

Cape honeysuckle is not toxic to dogs. It won't cling to walls like trumpet vine either. In its favor, it stays evergreen if it doesn't freeze. Although, if it freezes it dies.

Decisions, decisions.
