So I have a a very small plot of land in my SoCal apartment and I am currently trying to get some veggies off the ground. Tomatoes and Peppers get about 4 hrs of sun 11-3pm per day, but I am trying to get it closer to the recommended 6-8. I want to reflect light from the other side of my patio towards the veggies. Does anyone know what the ideal kind of reflector for this job would be? I am worried that a mirror would be too strong.

My thoughts right now are either covering a canvas in tin foil and propping it up, or purchasing some light reflectors for photography and seeing which of those work.

Otherwise, if you think the quality of the light I am getting is good enough as is, please let me know. They plants are certainly growing, just don't know what will happen when they start to fruit.

Any help is welcome!

You are better off using a white painted backdrop to increase light. I am afraid that reflectors will act like a magnifying glass and you could burn your plants!
