I think the irises, here, are just at "peak bloom", and will start falling off, in another week

Wow, they look fantastic Arlyn. I see your Japanesque is really opening flat this year too. This is the first time mine really opened wide.

You have really nice established clumps. If I were driving by I would just have to stop and look.

Wow, they came on fast with this heat wave didn't they. I have a feeling my show will be fast and furious as I see the late bloomers sending up stalks right with the early ones. You have some awesome beds there. Thumbs up , I bet the traffic past your place is non-stop.

What's that bright yellow and red one in picture 5? What a stunner! Lovey dubby

Beautiful, Arlyn, simply beautiful! Hurray! I bet the smell is fantastic! I think you're right, my show will likely peak this weekend too, though I don't have the established clumps you do.

Yes, we do get lots of "drive bys" ! It's supposed to cool down to "normal" temps, so the bloom should slow down, some. Storm chances, yet today, then a "calm" spell, so maybe we can squeak through without much damage from the weather.
Thanks for the comments and the acorns, everyone ! Thank You!

I keep going back over Arlyn's pictures and they tell a great story. Words cannot describe my thoughts because that would be an understatement. All I can do is think about the tremendous amount of care, up-keep, weeding, feeding, hoeing, digging, re-planting and maintaining such a work of perfect art! I have continued to marvel at the dedication and hard work involved in a project of this magnitude! And I have bookmarked this page to continue reviewing these pictures. In my humble words, "Thanks Arlyn for this gift of visual enchantment"! I don't know how to say it any better. I tip my hat to you.

Hurray! Hurray! Hurray! What a show!

My irises also seem to have decided to get it over with all at once, I have talls, medians and dwarfs blooming now and a forest of TB stalks that look like they are going to be in full bloom sometime next week.
Of course I talk to myself; sometimes I need expert advice!
