Hi,
I am a beginner gardener saving food scraps for composting in a bucket. Should I be refidgerating them until I get enough or can I keep them in a bucket for a few weeks at a time or longer until I get the correct ratio I need for my tumbler? Thanks.

Welcome to the site!
I would put them in your tumbler now and add as you go along.
Prudence, indeed, will dictate that Governments long established should not be changed for light and transient causes; and accordingly all experience hath shewn, that mankind are more disposed to suffer, while evils are sufferable, than to right themselves by abolishing the forms to which they are accustomed.

I agree And be sure to add some dry material, too, such as leaves or shredded newspaper.
