I am looking for some newer iris to purchase. I really like the big blooms with all the ruffles and frills.

I haven't bought many of the newer intros in the last 6 yrs and was hoping you that have them could give me recommendations of those that are strong growers. Nothing worse than a plant you have to baby. Thanks

My most impressive intro has been Rise Like a Phoenix. Everyone notices it. Incredible vigor. Made a clump very quickly.

I would like frills with STRONG stalks that don't flop.

I would recommend looking at the latest Wister and Dykes medals winners for ideas. I have found most of Keppel's and Schreiner's iris to be vigerous and reliable. Zone 8

Noble Gesture: one of my first to bloom, no weak stalks, and it was outstanding in every way. edit to add picture. Thumb of 2020-05-28/iciris/b90ea5
