Hi everyone!
I JUST planted these Virginia creeper Engleman Ivy vines not even a week ago and they are all developing brown spots and looking unhealthy. We are in Edmonton Alberta zone 3. Any ideas why?! Sad

You need to give the plant "wet to dry" cycles, so the roots will grow deep in search for water. If you keep the soil wet the roots will stay shallow and not grow down very deep. I think the spots are from excess water in the roots and lack of oxygen in the root zone. Keep the soil aerated around the base of the plant to allow for more air in the roots.
NOT A EXPERT! Just a grow worm! I never met a plant I didn’t love.✌
