We're weeding an entirely overrun garden bed and I recently pulled out what I thought to be some kind of wild grass weed. It has tubers, so not to risk killing a possible flower/ornamental plant I've transplanted them into an empty container temporarily. Any thoughts on what this is?

I'm not too familiar with daylilies but they seem bigger, this plant is quite thin and small, the blades are 1/4" or less in width, the longest blade is maybe 12", which is probably what made me think it's grass. The fact that it was only growing in one place does make me worry it's flower of some sort. It was growing in a cluster too.
