|Hello all!! I haven't been to this forum in quite some time but this year I'm feeling anxious and wrestless and have found myself in the garden once again...im really into trees this year...but what my question is and why I'm here is to ask...does anyone know if black spruce or blue spruce do well in Texas? You see...I bought some blue spruce and black spruce essential oil and loved them both...and you guessed it right!!!...now I want the tree! Lol
Thanks for you help

|You should move to higher ground - like Colorado, or Minnesota.
Please don't torture those species in TX; you can grow so many better suited plants successfully.

|A local business planted a row of ten or twelve blue spruce outside their fence along the road. They looked lovely for a brief time. Two years later, there are only two survivors.

Carlos, I wouldn't plant 'em, unless you want dead trees in your garden. ALL spruces love snow. Not major heat, like you guys get in TX.
Maybe try planting (since you want a tree) a Sago Palm, Wollemi Palm, or a Blackwood.
Whatever happens, good luck!
