Hello, I wanna turf my backyard, But the problem is, this area is full of weeds. 4 weeks ago I sprayed Spectracide weed and feed 20-0-0 on the backyard and it seemed to kill most of the weeds. I wanna know what else you would do to get this soil ready for grass.

Looks like pretty good soil, although you could get it tested to really know. Be sure to use a type of grass that thrives locally, choose also according to how many hours of sun that area gets. If you have a dry season, I'd recommend using polymer moisture crystals when you seed or under the sod. They'll only last a couple of years but will help keep moisture more even between rain or watering while the roots get established.

Personally, I'd make space for foundation plantings, a shade tree, maybe a veggie garden... but this is a gardening site, so you know somebody was going to suggest something in addition to grass! Green Grin!
I'm learning to dance in the rain. Thank you, Sally & Chris & Sharon.
