|Hello, I wanna turf my backyard, But the problem is, this area is full of weeds. 4 weeks ago I sprayed Spectracide weed and feed 20-0-0 on the backyard and it seemed to kill most of the weeds. I wanna know what else you would do to get this soil ready for grass.

|Looks like pretty good soil, although you could get it tested to really know. Be sure to use a type of grass that thrives locally, choose also according to how many hours of sun that area gets. If you have a dry season, I'd recommend using polymer moisture crystals when you seed or under the sod. They'll only last a couple of years but will help keep moisture more even between rain or watering while the roots get established.
Personally, I'd make space for foundation plantings, a shade tree, maybe a veggie garden... but this is a gardening site, so you know somebody was going to suggest something in addition to grass!
I'm learning to dance in the rain. Thank you, Sally & Chris & Sharon.
