I am a newbie but very enthusiastic gardener. I am trying to clear about 500 sq feet of mostly onion grass to plant a wildflower garden. Do I really need to turn over all the dirt and pull the bulbs out by hand? I've spent about 10 hours clearing 100 feet. Is there a better way?
Thank so much!

Ortho says they have a chemical control, you can google that, or various videos.

I dig them by hand once in a while in the beds under the trees, and mostly ignore them in the lawn. I don't know that they will have much effect on starting the flowers. Hope someone else can help; seems like I saw this question a few days ago.. but then, days are blenind into one another..
Plant it and they will come.
