new to gardening, planted rouge pumpkins from seed. Transplanted about 8 days ago. Already budding with only a few leaves ( some damaged). Is this normal for pumpkins, etc?

Welcome!

Yes, squash plants often bloom at an early age but, they will only have male flowers until the plant is mature. The flowers are great in stir-fry or fresh on salad, so don't let them go to waste.

Thank you so much. I most certainly will enjoy the flowers.
