Hi, i recently put all my spider plants in big planters and put them on the windowsill. When I went to water them just now, I noticed this cheeky plant in the far back corner (that's why I didn't see it earlier). I don't know what it is but I assume it's a weed / not a "special plant" as I don't even know where it is from. I used generic potting soil and clay pearls for drainage.

I decided to remove it from the planter and give it its own litte pot.
It reminds me of basil but it's not identical.. leaves seem to be a bit furry.

Thanks for any help and sorry if I wasted your time with a weed!

Welcome!
I think it might be a sunflower. Smiling
I just grew a bunch and they looked very much like your seedling.

Thank you so much! We had sunflower too, years ago. My dad said they were like weeds because they were hard to get rid of so maybe I wasn't too wrong about that! Big Grin
