I was given a lovely rubber plant about a week ago which needed repotting . It was a very vigorous plant and produced 2 new leaves in the week. I repotted it yesterday with sterile compost . It was very pot bound. Well within 12 hours there was a black area on the bottom leaf and other leaves with faint black areas and a milky white white line on another leaf. I did notice black specs on the lower leaf . What has happened to my plant I am very sad . It has happened so quickly .

The plant came out of the pot almost intact and I put it in a pot about half size bigger and packed new soil around the edge and soaked it in water. The soil is still moist and looks like the original plant root has slightly risen above the soil . The temperature of the conservatory has dropped by about 10 degrees its a colder day . Thanks for helping me

Welcome! How much of the original soil did you remove whe you repotted? How much bigger is the new pot?

Pleases post a photo of the entire plant and its pot.
