I have a very large plastic pot outdoors that I usually put a tropical palm in for summer in Zone 6A. I usually give the palm away at the end of summer (the pot is too large and heavy to move the plant indoors for winter). Any idea of what would survive winter and bloom in summer months? Thank you

If you're thinking about a shrub/tree: Cornus is the first that comes to mind. Another might be a Viburnum
