My daughter lives in Northern Kentucky and 3 of her rose bushes are covered with rust. She said it's over the entire plants. She asked if she should treat them with fungicide and cut the bushes back to the ground or what she should do? I haven't had the problem so thought I would check here. Thanks!

I don't think it will help and I've seen a lot of people use it and it didn't help only wasted their money and time. You need to pick Disease resistance roses.
NOT A EXPERT! Just a grow worm! I never met a plant I didn’t love.✌

I'm pretty sure she has knock out roses. I'll check with her. Thanks.

Interesting. I live just over the river and have never seen rust here. Perhaps she could post some pictures?

Tell her, she might start by removing the rusted leaves and discarding them. I have one rose that is rusting, and I'm going to do that today.

Since 3 bushes were covered all in the same spot she cut them back to 6 inches, removed the leaves and used fungicide. She wants to know if the rust can spread to her peonies or iris or anything but roses?

All the leaves were covered with the rust. She figured if they make it great and if not she'll get others.

She didn't need to cut them down all the way. Just remove the leaves, spray and wait for new leaves to grow. I hope they recover for her.
