I am new to the forum and to gardening in general. I live in a small house with a smallish backyard. How do I plant fruit and vegetables? I already have a few packets of seeds that I purchased at a local garden centre last year and from a local flower shop earlier this week.
All tips and advice appreciated. I want to grow some flowers as well. Mainly blue flowers as blue is officially my favourite colour for flowers. What do you like to grow in your gardens at the moment? Feel free to show me some photos. I find gardening very relaxing and therapeutic too. Someone else living on my road was recently giving away some free plants so I picked up a couple to take home. Is there anything else which I need to be aware of? Thanks in advance.

Thanks. This is certainly helpful! What is vitex by the way? What other flowers do you grow at the moment in addition to fruit or vegetables? Do you own any baskets, houseplants or not?

White easter lillies have now dropped blooms and are making seed

Red amaryllis have already made seed, and I am sprouting some of them.

I have had pansies and a lot of other flowers this spring, but we are going into our hot summer here in south Texas, USA.
Maybe it takes a long time to grow, but remember that if nobody plants it, nobody has it.
