Hi --

Picked up this plant from Trader Joe's some time ago and it's listed simply as a "succulent." A few questions.

1. Can anyone ID the type? Aloe?
2. Is the growth I highlight in the pics below a) new leaves or b) pups?
3. if pups, is the pot too small to allow them to grow?
4. Finally, if they are pups, at what stage of growth would I divide them?

Thanks to all in advance,
Mike

Yes, Aloe. Maybe Aloe x nobilis. It needs a bigger pot in the near future. Those are offsets (babies) and they will be ready to separate when they are roughly double their current size. Unpot the plant to separate them, and try to get some roots when you're at it.
