This is popping up in the shade area where I spread cedar mulch last fall. I do not believe it Is toad lily. I have several varieties of that and while similar it is not quite the same.

Thank you! Yes, sadly that is it. I just read an article that it is becoming a problem in Michigan. I'm not having good luck digging all the roots. I might have to resort to poison.
