Hi. I live in Burgundy in France. I had some peonies in a bed - and they flowered the first year, but this last season not. I have decided to remove the whole bed as we are putting up decking. Can I dig up and store the peonie bulbs? Many thanks.

Pack the roots and damp material loosely into a plastic bag. Punch several holes in the plastic bag so that the roots can breathe. Store these in a cool, dark place that is safe from freezing. They will be ready to plant in spring as soon as the soil thaws. Good luck and Happy Gardening.
NOT A EXPERT! Just a grow worm! I never met a plant I didn’t love.✌
