I found this growing in my garden. Is this a mushroom or some kind of bug eggs?

I have those. They grow on pieces of wood and on mulch that are kept wet. I believe they are a mushroom but don;t know what kind. They never have seemed to hurt anything

Bird's nest fungus.

Hellooooooo Naples!! Spent nine years in Cape Coral.
That is one of the coolest things in nature in my opinion and it won't hurt anything.

Yes, Birds Nest Fungi ... with all the rain we've been having, I've been seeing it over here in my east coast garden lately too.
