Can anyone identify this black stuff on our orange jasmine hedge? I'm hoping to treat it before we lose this beautiful hedge.

Welcome! Is it very humid where you are? I'm thinking some kind of sooty mold. I also see some kind of lichen, too, those blue green-gray little round things. We have those here on oak trees. I'm not sure if the black stuff can harm trees. Fungus grows well in warm climates and humid conditions. Hoping a fellow Floridian can help you about the name and whether it's harmful.
Yesterday is gone. Tomorrow has not yet come. We have only today. Let us begin.
