Looks like the bees picked up food colorant from the local candy factory. I'm not sure this is so bad, except that the product is now visually unappealing.

Visually unappealing is right. As the old Hippie quote says, "It's not nice to fool with Mother Nature". There is a big debate about the detrimental effects of food additives and food coloring in what we eat. I wonder how it might affect the bees since their little systems are so much smaller than ours. Confused

Somehow the idea of eating blue or green honey doesn't appeal to me no matter where the color comes from.
