My bird of paradise stopped growing.. the leaves are curling and the stem has brown spots.. I checked the root it's healthy.. it had some white insects on the leaves long ago but I washed them and don't see it anymore.. but no new leaves are coming and feel like it's dying..

Please help me saving the plant.. I the plant outdoors (northern California) and I water them every day as it's summer..

Welcome! Please post a photo that shows the entire plant.

It looks like it is outside. Was it inside during the cooler months?

How much light does it get now?

Would be great if you can guide in general what brown stems mean.. can it be watering or pesticides
