Hello,

My bird of Paradise seemed to have been doing well, but i noticed some weird things on the leaves (shown below) and after taking a closer look in the soil, I saw some tiny white bugs. Immediately sprayed it with this

, not sure if that would work, but what exactly are they and how can I stop it. I had a smaller BOP last year that had the same problem and unfortunately did not make it.

Also forgot to add: It is right in front of a west facing window and although I haven't watered in a little over a week, soil still feels moist

Could you take pictures of the underside of the leaves, stems of the plant, and the base?

I don't see any evidence of any pests. There may be some water spots or stains from overhead pesticide treatments, but nothing of any concern.

It is normal for the large leaves of this plant to split easily and that is also not an issue. Overall, your White Bird appears to be fine.

The light in that location is fine. A thorough watering about once per week or whenever the soil feels dry about a half inch deep in the soil.
