I have a small sunny courtyard in the end unit condo. I have lots of flowers Of many colors and varieties,

potted and in ground. Ground cover, vines, grasses, Two small dogs that don't chase the one lizard, had a garden spider last year, saw a small green frog This year. I have lots of worms where I dig. I water from a hose when needed. Question: saw 1 butterfly this spring, no bees, no birds, a few wasps. Vegetables bloom but does not set. I haven't ever used insecticide, some miracle grow. What is going on here?

Insufficient light. Veggies need 8 hours of full sun to produce fruit. Depending on what veggies your growing many depend on pollinators to grow fruit.

Is the condo association spraying for things because that could be one problem.
Another could be that you are surrounded by walls, between the condos, the planting's, fences and other walls it is tough to get breezes through there. Breezes would help to move the scents from the flowers around.
I suspect that the condo is spraying insecticides and such and that could be a major problem.

What vegetables are you growing?
some do not need pollinators, as they are wind pollinated.

others can be hand pollinated.

please post photos.

Does your garden have walls? If it is small enough and out of the way enough, you won't attract honeybees but you should attract some natives. Is your garden in the sun?

If your vegetables include tomatoes and peppers, all they need is a gentle breeze (or go shake them a few times everyday). Squash and cucumbers can be hand pollinated.

Although I had vegetables produce last year, in my two gardens fifty miles apart, I saw very few bees, wasps or birds all summer.
It was not until Sept. I saw some Bumble Bees.
This year they are back.
Some times that just happens; wait and see.
That you have a frog is a GOOD sign. I tip my hat to you.
