Hello, I have a lot of plants but have never used rooting hormone on but a few things. Will it work on hydrangea, J. maples and other woody stemmed plants? I have 4 or 5 clematis too and would like to propagate them. Any advice is appreciated.

I've been trying with rooting hormone on woody stemmed plants, and not having much luck.

I know I would also appreciate the advice of someone who's been successful with propagating with rooting hormone.
