Hope @ScotTi doesn't mind, I started the new thread for June.

I just returned last week from spending 3 months in Utah, home schooling my grandkids. Phew. Now I am digging my garden out of a mass of waist-high weeds. Thankful for the few days of cooler weather we had last week, although the rain was a bit much. Phew, again.

Found this lovely Aechmea 'Perez' that @ardesia gave me several years ago. The original plant is still there, but winding down, and it has 3 pups around it now. I'm going to have to find it a nice new pot to spread out in.

My A. Black Chantinii with a nice big bloom on it, too.

Lots of Neos are blooming now, funny they all seem to have their season to bloom.

N. Purple Phantom a smaller Neo. It's up in a tree.

This big thug really does have it's "season". It blooms and makes a huge head of seeds that turn ivory/white, every year in June.

I like those kind, the bloom then the seeds are just as, if not more interesting. A. Mend and Alvarez are the same way.

What has happened to Scott Ti, haven't seen him around? Shrug!

Yep!! Enjoyed my vacation very much. The best part was blowing my Stimulus check on some Bromeliads.
This is a peek at a new genus for me that stimulated my eyes.

Anyone want to take a stab at the name?
Hint: It's a tongue twister.

I confess, I googled "grass-like Bromeliads" then took a guess(s) from the images. I'll have to go back and do it again, I remember seeing something like this current mystery brom.

This one will be fairly easy once you find the genus as only 2 species exist.
