I've never seen a Hoya macrophylla for sale anywhere around here or all the years we lived in the Daytona area! I did have a small Wax Plant (Hoya macrophylla 'Variegata') about 12 years ago that I got as a cutting ... it either didn't survive or it's one I gave away at a time when I was downsizing.

I will share this one with you when it grows or I can go back and get you one if there are any left and mail it to you

I'll go back tomorrow...I have to pick up a cake for an early father's day dinner we are having! There were 3 there, I bought one hopefully at least one will still be there. I actually went for passiflora vines but they were sold out LOL you know I was gonna take something home with me

Very nice find! I think I paid $30 for mine on ebay. I don't have any nurseries or big box stores selling hoya near me. I have to go to OKC to scrounge.

Yes, this, and clandestina (obviously also latifolia) are also some of my favorite hoyas. I'm always looking for Macrophyllas, and I haven't found a beauty like that for such a great price! I'm happy to see maybe Lin can get one too.

Yes, Gina was so kind to pick up the last one for me and I can't wait for it's arrival! In 2008, I got a very small cutting in a trade but I don't know what ever happened to it. I lost a bunch of plants one year during a freak winter freeze when we were out of town and that might be one of those lost to cold. I look forward to having one again and hopefully getting it to flower!

Hey Gina, my Wax Plant (Hoya macrophylla 'Variegata') arrived today. Thank you so much for picking it up for me! I have it laying out on the pool deck to acclimate a bit before potting it up in my own mix. I'm going to do my best to keep it alive and hopefully finally get to see the blooms in person!!

I am so glad it got there! With all the postal delays that have been going on, I was hoping it would get there on time! Mine is STILL WET and I have not watered it, that media is really nasty

Yes, it was still quite wet. I'm leaving it sit out to dry out and will then plant it in my own mix of a bit of soil, orchid bark, coconut coir and perlite.

Mine is doing great, it had a couple of leaves turn yellow and drop within the first week but it acclimated quickly and the vines are taking off!
