I just bought Young summer hydrangeas and in 1 week after transplanting to container , watering When soil dry, and added fertilizer, the plant is dying. I used espoma Organic potting soil and added what I think is the proper amount of fertilizer. You can see the leaves shriveling, darkening black, and blooms drying up. Similar problem but less intense on another planter in same area and I prepped the same way. It receives main morning sun only about 6 hours, and possible 1 hour in later afternoon

I can see what looks like aphids. They are sucking the life out of the flowers and new leaves.
