Can this brush handle occasional strong winds ie 25-35 MPH? I am considering a row of the pink in front of my lanai. There is NO wind protection in this area.

Yes it can and will grow in almost any kind of soil pH and should take some wind. If you want you could plant a couple this year and the rest next year, just to be sure.
