Hello,

I just received this plant (it was mailed to me) and two of the leaves have black marks on it? They are only on the two lighter green leaves. I am assuming those two leaves are newer and will darken and unfurl more (since they are kind of curly now).

Thanks so much!

It looks like mechanical damage from the transport. A plant leaf will not bend in some cases without breaking. After breaking it won't show for a few days or a week. So be patient and don't over water your Monstera and lets keep our fingers crossed.
NOT A EXPERT! Just a grow worm! I never met a plant I didn’t love.✌

Thanks so much for the reply. Yes, I'm hoping it was just a shipping issue. I received it and the soil seems a bit wet --- so I haven't watered. And, its in the oh so lovely, and a little banged up growers pot. So looking for a basket. I haven't figured out where to put it yet. Smack dab in middle might be a bit inconvenient. I have windows at let's say 12 on a clock, a big wall unit at 9:00, and couch at say 3. And not much other room. If I put it next to the wall unit (on the other end not the side nearer to window, seems a bit removed in terms of light. Ah decisions! Thx again! Much appreciated!
