I have planted both and they are both dying
I put donkey manure in soil ..it was 6 months old..but both are dying
I have broccoli in but it's not dying

Donkey poop shouldn't be a problem.

We need more information, like soil type, what the temps have been like, whether you've had problems with solanums in the previous growing seasons...
And Other stuff like how much did you use, and how deeply was the soil dug...

Most people think that a little bit of manure will do a lot more for the garden than it's been my experience.... I used to dump wheelbarrow loads of horse poop in over-lapping piles down my beds... still wasn't too much.
