Hello
I have inherited my daughter's sunburnt Yucca which is rather unsightly. Should I cut the burnt leaves off or chop the whole thing down to just above pot level? Please help 😀.

Hi Fleuriste, Welcome!

I may be wrong but I don't think your plant is Spineless Yucca (Yucca gigantea) I think it's Corn Plant (Dracaena fragrans) The sun damaged leaves can be snipped off, just trim them back to the main stem of the plant. Below are photos from our database showing the leaves of both plants for comparison.

The leaves of Yucca are narrow and stiff with tiny rough teeth along the margins:


The Corn Plant (Dracaena) has wider leaves that are softer and more pliable:
