Not to worry, Daniel....it is a peculiar looking bloom. You have to click on it to really see the stripes. And even then, it is a strange color. I did cross these two back and forth so we will see if either sets a pod. They are both dips.

I do get mesmerized looking at the first one, Steve. There isn't much that's not entertaining to look at. Even the stamen are a hoot.

This is Tumbleweed, the giver of pollen.
I found myself paralyzed when it was time to select a pollen for this flower. There is no blooming flower worthy of this future parent! I rather use the day's available pollen.
Eventually, I selected Ultimate Blush.
Of course, I used Tumbleweed's pollen on all available 2018 seedlings of mine.
I cannot wait to see the children from this flower!

Nothing as nice as what I have been seeing, but I did get a bit of a surprise with one cross. Ra Hansen x Purple Leopard. Not quite what I was expecting with 2 purples. Not disappointed just surprised.

Ina, I think your polychrome is beautiful! I bet it has great substance too! I have found that all of my polychrome seedlings last well into the evening. Eventhough the color fades, most fade into a very attractive cream polychrome color. Can you share what time you took this pic?

Karen:
It was taken at 6:31 pm 16 July. It did last for quite a long time. The color was the same as this when I walked thru before heading for work at 6 am. It just was not fully open so I did not take a pic then.

I agree
great choice as a pollen parent Gerry

pinkiris love those midribs.

Ina we love seeing all daylilies and that one can hang with the best of them Thumbs up

Thanks Steve she's a beauty.

I know many of you are gathering pods already, if anyone needs any white block seed bags shoot me a treemail. I have a ton in stock and happy to sell or trade some.
To everyone already trading with me this year just let me know how many you want and I'll include them in your package Thumbs up
