I've started noticing these yellow/brown spots on the leaves. This plant has been in the same pot for close to a year now. Is it a problem with the soil? If I don't water it constantly it's gets super dramatic and droopy.

You need to repot. I'm sure you will discover it is one great big pot of wall to wall bulbs. When you take it out of the pot, the bulbs will come apart in little clusters. You can plant as many clusters as you want in the pot but you will have too many for just one pot. Start a second pot or give them to friends.
