Hi I'm new here. I planted a garden. I have several plants. I know all of them but this one. I don't remember planting this. Is this a weed. Any help is appreciated. Thank You

Did you mulch with straw bales? It looks like oats.

Do you have a bird feeder? It could be millet or sorghum.

no I planted in a garden bed and used some wood chips to keep out weeds. I did get compost from a neighbor thou

yes I do have a bird feeder . Is this a seed that fell and should I let it grow for the birds

Looks like Sorghum to me too; one for comparison Shattercane (Sorghum bicolor)
