Fruit is the size of pinky nail or even smaller.
Turn deep purple or black

Look like mini hot pepper or tomato
What is it? Is it edible?

It is a Solanum as are tomatoes and eggplants..... and Nightshade. Don't eat it without a possitive ID.

As Daisyl said Nightshade, tomatoes and eggplants are all Solanum.

There is a fine line between edible Solanum and Deadly Nightshade.
I grew up eating Solanum torvum which is small and cute, but its formation and appearance is totally different from the fruit of this plant.

Don't eat it without a positive ID.
