Where is the best place to buy Rosa "Double Delight" roses? Thank you. |

I bought them locally multiple times but, any place away from Rose Rosette Disease grounds is ok. ;o) The first time I bought them was at Lowe's but I do not remember the other times. I think it may have been at a small nursery here so, I would call when roses are put on sale in 2021 as stocks are bound to be low now. Mail order wise, it is too hot to be mailing plants now too but maybe later in the Fall. Sooner Plant Farm in OK has mostly positive reviews in Dave's Garden Watchdog and supposedly $ell$ DD. https://www.soonerplantfarm.co... |

![]() Try Armstrong Garden Center. There are stores in Glendora and Anaheim(Yorba Linda) that can get them from any other store in the chain if their growing grounds are out of it. They're also a great place for information and some really cool plants (full disclosure, I worked there for 7 years). I still go there to get plants and supplies. If you go to Anaheim look for Dipali, she's an old friend from college, Cal Poly, and really knows her stuff. Tell her John sent you. |

This is one of my "Flawed Favourites" - it is such a wonderful flower, with a fragrance that is almost at the peak of all roses, but it can get mildew, and isn't as robust as it was when it first came out. I don't know your local sources, but I would get it as early in the season as possible, and you might consider buying more than one, as plants like this vary quite a lot after so many generations of clonings, some are very weak - I presently have 5 of them - 1 is pathetic, 2 are quite weak, and 2 are in good shape..... I will replace the ones that are not doing well, and keep the good ones. |

Thank you all for your responses to my question about where to buy double delight roses. They were all very helpful, but I particularly want to thank calpolygardener, as the places he mentioned are close to me, and also thank you John for giving me Dipali's name. I was not aware of your responses until now, when I went into my junk file and there they were, so do please forgive the tardiness in my replying. Very gratefully your, Jan T. |

David Austin carries Double Delight. However, it is not available until January 2021. |
