|I am trying to identify a couple of plants. I'm in Saint Paul, Minnesota.
Not a Butterfly Weed
This one I misidentified as Butterfly Weed, Asclepias tuberosa, when it was smaller, but the flowers don't seem to be correct. A plant identification app on my iPhone thinks it is weld, but the flowers aren't growing the right way. This is what it looked like when I found it:
And this is what I see now. The flowers aren't right, and it has stretched up tall, doesn't look like a milkweed at all:
It originally came back where I'd planted Butterfly Weed, but now I'm thinking it is some annual.
Flowers of Usual Size
This is a perennial that my wife planted when she got it as a gift from someone, but she isn't sure what it is:
Any help is appreciated.

|I think the first one looks like horseweed.

|The second is a Threadleaf Coreopsis.
Pull the Horseweed before all those seeds flutter away in the breeze.

|I agree, photo #1 looks like Horseweed (Erigeron canadensis)
#2 Maybe Prairie Tickseed (Coreopsis palmata)
