Plant ID forum: mystery plant

This plant is approx 7 ft tall, and was seeded this spring in a mixed seed bed. I am thinking it might be a hybrid goldenrod, but perhaps someone will name it for me. thanks. Sorry that this photo needs to be rotated to vertical.
