Plant ID forum→Is this a bud?

I believe i found some baby roses from my rose bush and have been caring for them with the hope they become rose bushes of their own. They have very strange green buds on top that I can not identify. Please help me identify what these are so I don't think I'm just caring for weeds.

Definitely not a rose. More likely an Amaranth like pigweed.

Agreed. Uproot and kill it if you don't want to end up chasing it around the yard after it seeds. Amaranth is useful stuff in its proper place, but it's tough and persistent and fast growing.

I agree, Amaranthus, possibly Redroot Pigweed (Amaranthus retroflexus)
