The ponytail palm is one of the most common succulent trees in cultivation. Its interesting form and ease of care make it an excellent house plant or patio plant, given good drainage and lots of light.

I had no idea that the ponytail palm could grow so large! Thank you for sharing the information about the difference between the cuttings and a full-fledged ponytail palm growing from it's original base. I can attest to it's drought has tolerated my (accidental) neglect very well this past year.
