Hi we found this beautiful Dragon Tree abandoned in street at start of Lockdown 5 weeks ago. Trimmed brown edges and seems happy but lots roots coming through bottom of pot.
Shall I repot?
Also wondering what brown spots are on lower leaves.
An aerial root also on soil - should I cover it?
Thanks for your thoughts.

Congratulations on the nice find of that Dragon Tree (Dracaena marginata) Thumbs up To my eyes, the soil it's planted in appears quite heavy and water retentive but I don't think their is a need to repot; just allow the soil to dry considerably before adding additional water.

The leaf spots shown in your last photo may be due to temperature or they may be a moisture related issue.

I wouldn't worry about the adventitious root above soil line, it will likely find it's way back downward into the soil.

Thankyou for your good advice. I think there might be a tech problem as I posted this in March and it seems to have just sent this now. Great advice though and my Dragon tree is thriving!

Yes, there must have been a technical glitch because it looks like there are 2 separate but identical threads regarding your Dragon tree.

The original thread is dated May 3, 2020: The thread "Repotting time for Dragon tree" in Ask a Question forum

And this thread is dated October 9, 2020: The thread "Repotting time for Dragon tree" in Ask a Question forum

I'm glad to hear that your tree is thriving! Thumbs up
