Peonies

Peonies are a staple and permanent perennial in my gardens. They give a pleasing fragrance and lots of beauty in mid-spring here. The pink one is Lottie Dawson Rea; the white is Bowl Of Cream; both are exceptional performers.

Gorgeous banner, Leon! I've never grown them, but they are beautiful. I guess I should give them a try.

Beautiful banner Leon!
Prudence, indeed, will dictate that Governments long established should not be changed for light and transient causes; and accordingly all experience hath shewn, that mankind are more disposed to suffer, while evils are sufferable, than to right themselves by abolishing the forms to which they are accustomed.

Good morning everyone; and thanks for your comments. I remember the morning that I took this photo; and there was a light sprinkling of raindrops on the grass and peony leaves. They don't show up in the photo so much, but look like "specks" in the banner. I am posting the original picture and a couple others for illustration.
