October Skies

Beautiful blue flowers reflect the sky when this aster blooms. A great late pollinator plant.

The bees just love 'em. And they are one of the last to go. Great banner.

Beautiful blooms & banner, Laurie....form, colors, contrast, lighting, composition.
The yellow center really sets it off.
Good job! Thumbs up

(they look more lavender than blue to me, but I'm legally color blind. Rolling my eyes. )

Beautiful banner Laurie!
Prudence, indeed, will dictate that Governments long established should not be changed for light and transient causes; and accordingly all experience hath shewn, that mankind are more disposed to suffer, while evils are sufferable, than to right themselves by abolishing the forms to which they are accustomed.

Terrific grouping of these aster blooms. They make a wonderful banner. I especially like the range of stages of development of the blooms' central discs. Thumbs up Smiling

A very pretty October Skies aster banner. Excellent! I always looking forward to seeing them each Fall. The bees love them too.

Thank you all for your compliments, likes and acorns! The moderator flipped the image to show off the best flower--thank you! I'm having fun creating banners! Smiling

October Skies is another favorite plant, blooming when most everything else is done. Cal, you are correct--it has a bit of a lavender shade rather than true blue.
