this is my favorite day lily and year after year it continues to bloom and put out an abundance of huge blooms in mid summer (thats mid july to end of august,(zone 4a or 3b) I remember picking it up at the local horticulture perennial swap for a couple bucks, first year i planted it, it produced a couple of blooms but every year since it has flourished, Does anyone know its name? folks that drop by are always impressed with its beauty but when I purchased it I never paid much attention to names and now cannot tell people what its called![]() ![]() |

I'm impressed Deryll, I think you nailed it, with the thousands of day lilies out there I'm amazed you were able to zero in , Thanks!, I checked it out further and it seems to match my conditions zone and charactoristics |

It's that little bit of red wire edge that gives it away! Without that, I would have guessed H. Black Eyed Susan. The two flowers look almost identical except for the wire edge. |
