Just planted my first Iris plants in September. Dracula Kiss, Black Mirror, Black Lipstick, Crimson King and Eleanor Roosevelt. They are all growing very well. I'm trying to find local/same zone growers. Figured that may help get the best ones (but perhaps not). I've seen Tom Burseen has some. Has anyone grown his and/or have recommendations? Thank you in advance! I'm pretty open to tall/short or any kind of Iris. It does get very warm here during the summer and into the Fall. I have trees so they get some shade. |

I like Superstition Gardens. They send nice rhizomes and have a great selection. Paul Smith Pleasant Grove, Utah |

I agree about Superstition, Jason T. I'd add, among others, Iris Sisters. Robin Shadlow grows excellent irises and has a great selection and she's generous with bonuses. Life is a Gift ! |

I have been buying Burseens for multiple years. And I have nothing but good things to say. All the other vendors mentioned are wonderful too. I think the people who grow Irises are about as special as the flower itself! |

In addition to what the others said, you might want to check out Seandel Iris Gardens. They are in Plano, TX. Also, check out The Shady Spot on Facebook. They are in Texas. I don't have any Burseen irises, but I've only ever heard good things about them. Schreiner's, Mid America, and Sutton's are good too. Keith Keppel has some great ones as well. These are all Oregon or Idaho growers though. Stout Gardens is in Oklahoma and has a nice selection. |

I'm filling out my Keppel order now... Limiting myself to 6 ![]() My favorites, in no particular order.. Superstition, Keppel, Iris Sisters, Mid-America, Bluebird Haven (for historics).. Is the Shady Spot selling again? Most of the Burseen Iris I have came through our club.. They've all grown well.. My current favorite of his is 'Digs' The surest sign that intelligent life exists elsewhere in the universe is that it has never tried to contact us. |

evelyninthegarden said: 6 from Keppel... I'll take a look at Superstition when he posts his 2021 list.. and unless I can start culling some, I just don't have room to order from 6 vendors.. Full up here at the Inn.. I wish that there were more I didn't like... They're all so pretty ![]() The surest sign that intelligent life exists elsewhere in the universe is that it has never tried to contact us. |

Henhouse said: I only wish i could stop -- i've vast amounts of room, but limited energy and stamina. I've decided only 2021 intros this year to add. Already sent a check for 8 of Keiths intros, and will get Ghio's from Schreiners. Still going thru Suttons for those that i want. Ill most likely get most of Tom and Pauls intros thru a nice fat club order next year. |
