This is the color of Vesper in spring.

Victoriana, a 1977 floribunda, is also exceptionally beautiful and exceptionally difficult to grow on its own roots. I've killed two and I'm currently nursing one through its third year, but it's still only a few inches tall. This rose cries out for grafting.

Here's another view of Victoriana, showing the silvery beige on the back of the petals.

Sigh...I can hardly wait for bloom time, stunning photos Zuzu! I lost my Victoriana that you gave me, never did much, just struggled to even add another set of leaves.
Now, the Vesper you gave me is looking great and seeing your photos reminds me why I fell in love with it! Can hardly wait to see the blooms this year. In my new bigger garden, I am adding Nimbus!

Thanks, Sue. I'm not surprised about Victoriana. It's a losing battle with that rose and with Tom Brown.

Nimbus should be in every garden. In fact, it should be in every flower bed in every garden.

You have some nice LeGrice photos to add to this thread too, Sue, don't you? I know you took a really good one of my Plentiful when it was still in the driveway.

Instead of saying those things, I should just go straight to PlantFiles. There are two that you took in my garden. This one's a true stunner.
